Pain is feedback

Pain is a very useful feeling. Pain alerts us to what could be wrong. Feeling pain allows us to avoid danger. We tend to move away from pain and gravitate toward feeling good. Pain is also often a precursor to the birth of amazing things. It often marks the transition from one state to another. Peaceful nations where born out of violence. Pain is simply feedback on what is happening in and around us.

Financial pain is particularly useful. The pain of being broke can spur us to creativity and entrepreneurship. The fear of losing it all keeps us working harder. Pain allows  us to reflect on our lives and to change somethings. Doing something painful often means we are onto something. Very few good things are achieved without some amount of pain and sacrifice.

Listen to your pain. What is it telling you? Don’t ignore your pain.
