Problems have a way of compounding into huge mountains when not addressed in time. A few weeds will soon infest an entire garden if not removed in time. A tiny crack in the road can quickly become a big pothole if not patched in time. A small pain can become a critical illness if not taken care of. Bad behaviour will take hold if not corrected in time. A small loan can grow into a mountain of debt if not controlled. A little drink can become full blown alcoholism.
The trick therefore is to address the problem as soon as it manifests. This will save us a lot of time and pain in rectifying the bigger problem.
