Albert Einstein famously said that compound interest is the most powerful force in the universe. He said, “Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn’t, pays it.”
When you borrow money you enter a Master – Slave relationship. As a Slave you pay interest to your Master. In return your Master doesn’t sell your security as long as you pay the loan consistently. Sometimes it is necessary to be a Slave for a specific period of time as long as you focus on getting out of this bad relationship.
I have been paying interest to my Masters for over ten years. I am grateful because some of these Masters enabled me to acquire some assets. But I got tired of being enslaved. I dreamt of being FREE. So I ended the relationship.
Now I have become the Master. Other Slaves are paying me interest. It is better to be a Master than a Slave.
I now earn interest from my various investments in Treasury bills, Treasury bonds, Unit trusts, Fixed deposits, Investment Clubs, SACCOs, etc. Money is now my Slave. It is tirelessly working day and night to make me rich. It doesn’t complain and never gets tired. All its children become my slaves and they work even harder for me.
