Your current income level and bank balance is approximately the average of the income of your five closest friends.
Our friends, peers, and spouses influence how we think, our work ethic, and our fortunes.
If you are not happy with your current station in life you may need to do a serious inventory of your closest relationships and evaluate what value you are giving and obtaining.
Once you become aware of the people influences in your life you can begin to build better relationships. I am not suggesting that you let go of all your friends. But some friendships maybe keeping you broke and unhappy.
One effective way to improve your income and well being is to hang out with the most successful people in the world. I do this through reading books especially biographies, listening to podcasts, and reading blogs. I also follow the most successful people on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, etc. I have had breakfast with Ghandi, lunch with Nelson Mandela, tea with Richard Branson, and dinner with Ray Dalio and Bill Gates. Hanging out with these people has greatly influenced my bank balance and my mind for the better.
In this new world you don’t have to spend all your time hanging out with the same people who don’t challenge and inspire you to grow and become wealthy. You can easily reach out and follow the best and most successful people in the world.
