Wise quotation
Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. Therefore sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
Interpretation
This quotation is taken from the bible and is attributed to King Solomon. At the time most of the people derived their livelihood from agriculture. In those times planting at the wrong time meant you could go hungry. So Solomon advises that we should not wait to plant as we watch the wind because we can’t predict the rains. Also we need to keep busy doing many things and not just rely on the crops which could easily fail.
Application
Stop waiting for the perfect time to start doing something. Start now with the resources you have. Don’t depend on one job or source of income. Build multiple streams of income. Do your day job well enough and in the evenings and weekends work on your side hustle.
