Now that you have that degree, it is time to put it aside and begin to work. Do whatever work you can find. Your degree is not your identity. Just because you are an Engineer it doesn’t mean you can’t trade in charcoal. Just because you are an Economist, it doesn’t mean you can’t be a shop keeper. Just because you studied law doesn’t mean you can’t become a chef. Just because you are a banker doesn’t mean you should not grow tomatoes.
When was the last time you asked your carpenter, builder or mechanic for their degree? When you go to a restaurant do you ask for the degree of the chef before you order? The guy who invented the light bulb didn’t have a degree! So did the guys who made the first plane.
Don’t be like the guy with a hammer who thinks every problem is a nail. A degree is like a hammer and is only appropriate in certain situations. However most money making ventures don’t require a degree. They just require insight, faith, hard work and perseverance.
Don’t allow your degree to stifle your blessings in life.
