Hibernate to survive

Many creatures go into hibernation in order to survive cold, dark winters without having to forage for food or migrate to somewhere warmer.

During hibernation the animals turn down their metabolisms, lower body temperature, slow breathing, and lower their heartrate to save energy.

We could borrow a leaf from these animals to survive the current difficult times. The global economy is slowing down, businesses are collapsing and jobs are being lost. As a survival mechanism we need to literally hibernate and cut all excessive spending to a bare minimum in order to survive. This way we preserve some cash to carry us through the tough times ahead.

While hibernating renew your mind by acquiring new skills and knowledge and also reflect on life. When the storm finally settles you will come out strong and ready to take on the world.
